Field event UCABAgTech once again broke the attendance record

On July 29, 2020, at the facilities of HarvEast Holding (Revne village, Kyiv region), the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association together with UCABevent agency held the largest field event of this summer – UCABAgTech. The event was the largest since the launch of the UCAB event in 2017 and brought together more than 2,000 guests and participants.

The event combined a demonstration of technology, test drives of cars, express training and applied master classes on the choice and implementation of precision farming technologies, setting up trailed equipment.
At the plenary part of the event, everyone was able to join the discussion of the case Climate Field View — a modern platform for agriculture from Bayer Business Development Manager Sergei Sychevsky. He spoke about Climate Fieldview, a state-of-the-art agriculture platform that was created to help growers sustainably increase productivity with digital tools. Guests of the field event were waiting for a rally from Bayer. Ten participants became owners of valuable gifts.

During the demonstration of the equipment, a field of 60 hectares of 50+ agricultural units of the world's leading brands demonstrated their effectiveness in action. Various types of agricultural machinery were tested: combine harvesters, grain reloaders, grain carriers for collecting spring barley, units for surface tillage, seeders for sowing winter crops, self-propelled and trailed sprayers of domestic and foreign producers: TITAN Machinery Ukraine, CLAAS, Egritech, Massey Ferguson, Egritech, AIKO, KUHN, Technotorg, AGCO, Agrimatco, Great Plains, MZURI, VV aderstad, BEDNAR, AGROKALINA, Albion, WCF, Agroresurs, ASP Innovation Center, Poletehnica, Lozova Machinery, LEMKEN, Horsch, New Holland Agriculture, AMAZAM ONE, CASE IH, Astra, AMAKO. After the demonstration of each unit of equipment, a special group of experts, which consisted of 15 specialized specialists — agronomists, engineers, scientists — gave their assessment of each unit according to the technical characteristics and production tasks.

Alexander Bondarenko, chief engineer of the MHP agricultural holding, said that for the third time he was participating as an expert at UCABAgtech: “I want to note that every year the quality of the event is only getting better. Our colleagues, partners, sellers and technicians are constantly progressing, and new technologies are advancing ahead of us, so the expediency of the event is that it is very favorable for communication and understanding of what is happening in the market. Being an expert, I saw each unit of equipment and made certain conclusions about which units our company should pay attention to.”

“Expectations from UCABAgtechare always high, but every year UCAB exceeds them. Firstly, different units are assembled in one place and you can see their effectiveness with your own eyes. Secondly, there is an opportunity to meet with colleagues, friends and exchange their own experiences and thoughts,” – shared his impressions Yuri Lysak, chief agronomist of the company Agro-Region.

In the exhibition area, more than 50 companies presented innovative agricultural technologies and relevant technical solutions for agribusiness.
The event was the first presentation of the revolutionary combine harvester Massey Ferguson IDEAL 7. The combine is equipped with a 9.8-liter engine with a capacity of 451 hp. The unit has an intelligent all-wheel drive with an automatic locking system and a rear-wheel drive connection system. Control is carried out using electronic systems, without the participation of a machine operator. The only place where it is involved -the daily inspection of the combine before work, setting the starting parameters and steering on turns, which in turn ensures high manoeuvrability of the machine.

“For all farmers, the field day is a great opportunity to hear firsthand where the development of technology is going, to ask the manufacturer directly about the units. The main value of such events is the exchange of experience, the opportunity to communicate and find out what interests colleagues from other agricultural companies and in what direction agriculture is moving in Ukraine,” said Dmitro Davydenko, CEO of Amazon-Ukraine.
