UCABAgTech. CENTER: more than 40 agricultural units of leading brands demonstrated their effectiveness

On July 28, 2021, at the facilities of the ago-holding Ago-Region (Velyka Oleksandrivka village, Kyiv region), the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association together with the UCABevent agency held the largest field event this summer — UCABAgTech. CENTER. The event brought together more than 1 200 guests and participants from different regions of Ukraine. The event combined a field demonstration of equipment in operation; exhibition area; test drives of cars; demonstration sites (7 hybrids of each brand) of flagship corn lines of such brands as: RAGT, Syngenta, Limagrain; express training and applied master classes on the choice and implementation of precision farming technologies, setting up equipment.
The event was opened by Taras Vysotsky, First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Volodymyr Kravtsov, Chief Operating Officer of Agro-Region Group of Companies and Alex Lissitsa, President of UCAB, CEO of IMC.
Taras Vysotsky congratulated the participants and guests on the fifth year of such a large-scale event. He noted that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will enjoy the further development of the event and its scaling to the regions.
Alex Lissitsa first and foremost expressed his gratitude to the agroholding Agro-Region, with which UCAB has long and closely cooperated not only in organizing the UCABAgTechproject but also in other events, including the Large Farm Management Conference (LFM). He also emphasized that UCABAgTechis not just an exhibition area, but also a platform that truly meets the demands of the agricultural sector from machinery suppliers. “We want to see the equipment in action, we want to test it, to communicate with manufacturers, and discuss all the details. And the format of our event makes it possible,” noted the UCAB president.During the plenary part of the event, all interested participants could join the discussion of the case study “Assessment of Sowing Quality and Seeder Selection” presented by Volodymyr Kravtsov. He shared the conclusions drawn from the testing of precision planters and the results of the demonstration sowing.
According to Volodymyr Kravtsov, all demo participants were provided with equal conditions: 0.3 hectares for sowing and identical pre-sowing soil preparation. All planters used the same hybrid of sunflower — WOLLF (the seed material was provided by the seed partner of the UCABAgTechy 2021. CENTER project — the RAGT company).
“The calculation was carried out by three experts. Counting 150 plants is a very laborious task and took three hours,” Volodymyr emphasized. He also clarified that for calculating the parameters of the seeder, the organizers asked manufacturers to choose the best line, since the field that was sown is very uneven.
During demos, the following was tested in the field: combine harvesters, seeders and sowing complexes, mineral fertilizer spreaders, self-propelled and trailed sprayers, agrodrons, strip-till aggregates, deep-breeders, ploughs, disc harrows, dissolving aggregates. After the demonstration of each piece of equipment, a group of experts, which consisted of specialized specialists — agronomists, engineers, scientists — gave their assessment of each unit according to the technical characteristics and production tasks.
It is worth noting the presentation of the self-propelled sprayer Agrifac Condor MountainMaster AiCPlus, which took place for the first time in Ukraine. This sprayer provides optimal stability even in the most mountainous conditions.
Also within the framework of UCABAgTech. CENTER held a real battle of sprayer drones — XAG XP 2020 and Lovol Lj16L-606. Co-founder of Drone.UA Valery Yakovenko noted that today drones are not fashion or hype, it is the need to work in the fields, an addition to spraying technologies. In a year, one drone processes 5,000 hectares. More than 1 million hectares are expected to be processed by drones this year.
In the exhibition area, more than 60 companies presented innovative agricultural technologies and relevant solutions for agribusiness.
“In the next, we managed to have a really cool field day. We had more than 1200 participants and guests who were able to see and evaluate agricultural machinery in all areas, with both flagship agricultural machines and other technical innovations on the market. Also, farmers received information about improved and new innovative solutions from technology suppliers. This, first of all, allowed agricultural producers to plan the renewal of their fleet and look at what exactly will work directly in their conditions most effectively,” summed up the event Roman Slaston, CEO of UCAB.
Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association and the agency UCABevent express their gratitude for supporting the field event “UCABAgTech.
