UCABAgTech 2024 is impressive in scale: more than 2000 guests and 87 companies in the exhibition area

On July 25, 2024, at the facilities of MHP agricultural holding (Krasnopilka village, Haisyn district, Vinnytsia region), the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club Association together with UCABevent agency held a national-level field event – UCABAgTech2024. The event brought together more than 2000 guests and participants from different regions of Ukraine in the fields of Vinnytsia region.
This year's feature was the largest exhibition area in the history of the event and a record number of machines demonstrated in several waves in accordance with 4 thematic blocks. In addition, the event was full of the atmosphere of the Olympic Games, as Ukrainian farmers are a kind of Olympians fighting for high yields in their agricultural arena in the difficult conditions of a full-scale war. The mascot Ukabchyk took pictures with everyone, the Greek goddess treated guests to goodies, and guests could feel like real champions on the photo zone's podium.
Taras Vysotskyi, Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, officially opened the event, emphasizing that Ukrainian farmers should choose innovations and modern technologies to compete with European farmers. “There are many challenges in the agricultural sector today, but global competition is also growing, and we are an export-oriented industry. And after our victory, the need to be competitive and efficient will only increase. That is why we need to think about implementing innovative technologies and processes in the agricultural sector now,” explains Taras Vysotskyi.
Nataliia Zabolotna, First Deputy Head of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, also emphasizes that Ukrainian farmers should approach business development from the point of view of saving resources by developing modern technologies. At the opening of the event, Anatoliy Tkach, Deputy Chairman of the Vinnytsia Regional Council, greeted the participants and wished them a busy day, productive new acquaintances and cooperation. In his turn, MHP's Deputy CEO for Agribusiness Sergiy Dobrohorsky noted the symbolism of UCABAgTechbeing held in Vinnytsia region, as it is one of the largest hubs of the agrarian conglomerate.As part of the plenary session, 9 speakers presented topics relevant to Ukrainian farmers:
● Oleksiy Kopylov, Head of FENDT/VALTRA, talks about “General trends in technical support for Ukrainian agricultural producers”.Yuriy Vaskivniuk, Owner of Agrokalina talks about “Soil cultivation tools from Agrokalina”.● Taras Pylypak, Regional Development Manager at PTx Trimble, talks about “Modularity of digital solutions from PTx Trimble”.● Roman Bytsa, Digital Farming Specialist at Climate FieldView, talks about “New features of the Climate FieldView digital platform”.● Yaroslava Bukhonska, BTU plant physiologist, talks about “Olympic champion in soil fertility restoration”.● Dmytro Salimonov, CEO of Global Clearance Solutions Ukraine, talks about “Mine clearance of agricultural land. Ways of compensation”.● Alexandra Gorgan, Key Account Manager at Cropwise Operations, talks about “Modern tools for keeping track of inventory in Cropwise Operations”.● Bogdan Ropotylov, Director of LIFE BIOCHEM Group, talks about “Soil Restoration”.● Pavlo Guzyr, Head of Alternative Sales Channels at Agro Fabrika, OTP Bank, talks about “Fast financial solutions for Agro Fabrika”.
Immediately after the plenary part, test drives of agricultural machinery from domestic and international manufacturers began, namely combine harvesters and reapers, navigation systems, self-propelled sprayers, cultivators and deep rippers, mineral fertilizer spreaders, disk harrows, pre-sowing cultivators, plows, vertical tillage machines, strip tillage machines, seeders and sowing systems, telescopic handlers, tractors, and agrodrones. All the machinery was available for inspection in static form throughout the event.
Among the presented agricultural machinery, 16 units were presented for the first time in the fields of Ukraine. These are new products from top brands and their suppliers:
1. Fendt 1100 Vario MT tractor: together with the FendtID low engine speed concept, it has outstanding efficiency and reliability characteristics.2. Agrokalina Velly-7 chain harrow: has several important advantages that make it popular among farmers and agricultural enterprises.3. DJI Agras T50 agrodrone: takes agricultural operations to the next level by providing stability while carrying 40 kg of spray or 50 kg of payload.4. Favorit Tinker compactor: is a representative of machines that have developed a comprehensive tillage technology with a single arrangement of working elements to create an even seedbed.5. LEMKEN Rubin 10/1000 KUA short disk harrow: has a large disk diameter of 645 mm and two rows of cut hemispherical discs, which provides full cutting at a depth of 7 cm.6. Turbo-Max 850 TM disc harrow: designed for surface vertical tillage at a depth of up to 12 cm without turning the chop and lateral displacement with minimal compaction.7. CASE IH Farmlift 737 telescopic loaders: these machines with a lifting capacity of 3300 to 4200 kg and a lifting height of up to 9.1 m embody strength, reliability and comfort.8. BEDNAR MATADOR MO 6000 strip seeder: the advantage of this technical solution is that before sowing, the soil is loosened in strips, and fertilizers are applied locally to the depth of the root system.9. Sowing complex FAVORIT TARPAN: a multifunctional high-performance unit that is capable of performing soil preparation, leveling the seedbed, applying mineral fertilizers, sowing seeds, closing, and rolling.10. The trailed sowing combination Amazone Cirrus Grand 9004-2 C: with a working width of 9 m and a hopper volume of 5750 liters offers high efficiency.11. Lemken Equalizer VT 12000 grain seeder: ideal for sowing small grains and soybeans on prepared soil and in fields with moderately heavy soils using no-till technology.12. BEDNAR SWIFTERDISC XE10000 disc cultivator: designed for stubble cultivation and pre-sowing soil cultivation, equipped with aggressive A-disks with a diameter of 560×5 mm, which provide excellent cutting of plant residues and mixing with the soil.13. Tractor NEW HOLLAND T8.435: one of the features is the Cursor 9 engines with a capacity of up to 435 hp with improved performance.14. HORSCH Focus 6.35 MT universal sowing complex: complemented the Focus TD family of seeders and received a large two-section hopper of 12,000 liters, which significantly reduces the number of refueling, and, accordingly, this all affects logistics and productivity.15. HORSCH Fortis 6 AS cultivator: for surface stubble cultivation, continuous cultivation, as well as deep cultivation and basic tillage to a depth of 4 to 30 cm.16. Claydon Evolution mounted seed drill: takes the Claydon Opti-Till® direct belt seeding technology to the next level.
In the exhibition area, 87 companies presented innovative agricultural technologies, static displays, and solutions for agricultural producers that are relevant in wartime. In addition, the participants were offered valuable gifts from the event partners, exclusive offers from suppliers and manufacturers of fertilizers, plant protection products, biological products, and profitable financial instruments from leading Ukrainian banks, which were also present at the event.
